Sponsor a Cat

Want to help our Shelter cats by sponsoring their care while they are awaiting new homes? It's easy. You can sign up to sponsor a specific kitty kondo or a specific cat while they are staying with us and awaiting adoption.

Here's what we do for each cat in our Shelter:

  • We test him or her for FIV/Leukemia/Heartworm! Yes - we are now able to test for heartworm in cats! If negative, we immediately begin our vaccination protocol. If positive, we seek veterinary input into the cat's condition.
  • We begin a de-worming regimen and treat him/her for fleas (usually Revolution - also very expensive).
  • We bring the cat up-to-date on all vaccinations - rabies, distemper and feline kennel cough.
  • The cat is spayed or neutered and finally, before it goes to its new home it is microchipped.
  • In between arriving at the Shelter and going home, we feed, clean up after, provide veterinary care (if necessary), etc.

Adoption donations cover only a fraction of our costs.  Sponsors greatly help us in the support of our efforts to place healthy animals into our community.  If interested in sponsoring a specific cat or a kitty kondo, please call the Shelter for information and thank you for caring!
